This class is designed to help pet owners to be able to train and handle their pets in an obedient manner. Your pet will learn general manners, walking on a leash, heel, sit, down, stay, come when called and not to jump on people. The dogs will also learn to interact with other dogs and people without being fearful or aggressive.

Jon Tholkes will help you to train your dog to be the obedient pet you desire. He has years experience with obedience training and helping others with their dogs. Jon is a certified evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen Program. He can also help if you have special problems you need to work on with your dog. We recommend your dog be at least 4-6 months (depending on breed and maturity) old before starting this class. $100 for the full program. This can be paid in two payments. Classes are held outside, so dress accordingly. Private lessons and evaluations are available by appointment. |

Canine Good Citizen Certification We will be offering canine good citizen certification in conjunction with the last day of the spring obedience class, Tues. April 22, 2008. The charge is $25 per dog ($15 per dog if you were in the obedience class). If you have a dog that you would like to test, please contact us at obedience@redcreekfarm.com . We also do evaluations at dog events or club functions, if you need an evaluator, please let us know. Click Here to go to the AKC website for more CGC information.

For your pets on safety we suggest the following vaccinations: Rabies - Required by law DHP-CPV (includes distemper, hepatitis, Para influenza and parvo) Required Bordetella (kennel cough) Strongly Recommended Leptospirosis (including 4 strains, grippotyphosa, pomna, canicola and icterohemo) Strongly Recommended Flea and Tick control (with approved veterinary product) - Strongly Recommended We want to help keep your pet healthy as well as preventing the spread of disease to other animals.
